As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Pelvic Floor PT, a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, & a Registered Yoga Teacher; Stefanie combines her many disciplines to prescribe extremely unique programs to her patients. Stefanie is a 6-star Finisher, completing all 6 World Marathon Majors. Her running resume includes 15 Marathons: Boston (2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017), Chicago (2013), Maine (2014), Philly (2014), NYC (2015), London (2016), Baystate (2016) & Berlin (2017), Maine (2018), Quebec (2018), & Tokyo (2019). 
 
In 2014, she decided to create a High-End, Concierge company called Boston Health & Wellness, that would collaborate her skills & bring convenience to her clients in their own home. She provides in-home Physical Therapy, Personal Training, Yoga, Massage, & Run Coaching. All in-home visits are an Out-of-Pocket cost. 
 
In 2020, she decided to expand her business model by opening a physical location that accepted health insurance. Even during a pandemic, she knew her timing was correct and she had to take the leap of faith and open an office. Stefanie opened Boston Health & Wellness in Stoneham, MA on November 1, 2020 which provides Physical Therapy, Pelvic Floor PT, Telehealth PT,  Personal Training, Yoga, Pilates, Massage, Dry Needling, Cupping, and Run Coaching.
 
Stefanie also excels in educating her patients since she has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant in Gross Anatomy at Northeastern University and Introduction to Exercise Science at UMass Amherst. Growing up, Stefanie was involved in competitive gymnastics and all-star cheerleading. Currently, in her spare time she enjoys being a Mom, running, yoga, cooking, spending time with her puppies/family/friends, and living a happy & healthy lifestyle.

On this episode the PT’s PT Dr. Lordan interviews the San Francisco 49ers director of reconditioning, Ryan Donahue. Ryan explains how he “reverse engineered” success in his career and outlines 5 things that he knew his resume would need in order to work at the highest level of sports. Ryan's Bio:
Ryan Donahue is in his ninth year with the San Francisco 49ers as the team's Director of Reconditioning. An accomplished leader, physical therapist, performance coach, keynote speaker, and reconditioning specialist, Ryan utilizes his background in both medicine and strength and conditioning to lead the reconditioning process, returning players from injury to full athletic competition.
 
Before joining the 49ers, Donahue spent the previous three years as a physical therapist at the Andrews Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, FL where he provided rehabilitation for athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, Olympic Teams as well as US Special Forces and general population.
 
Prior to the Andrews Institute, Donahue received his doctorate in physical therapy from Northeastern University in 2012, while also serving as Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning for the university's Sports Performance department. In addition to Northeastern, he has held previous affiliations with EXOS (formerly Athletes' Performance) in a physical therapy role, as well as strength & conditioning affiliations with the University of Connecticut, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning. In 2008, Donahue received a bachelor of science in exercise science from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in strength & conditioning.
 
A native of Andover, MA, Donahue and his wife, Bridgette (née Trometer; NEU DPT ‘12), have two sons, Carter and Charlie.

Dave works for MGH in their Sports Med Department primarily with Athletes and shares career advice on how to get the most out of your first decade of practice. Learn how Dave worked in multiple different jobs to finally land on his dream job. Learn what he would have told his new grad self, and what advice he has for young PTs today.
 
A graduate of Northeastern University, David is an expert clinician in orthopedic physical therapy with more than a decade of clinical experience. David is recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a Clinical Specialist in orthopedics and has earned the designation of Fellow by the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Throughout his career David has demonstrated a passion for lifelong learning, by completing both a post-graduate residency at the Institute for Orthopedic Manual Therapy and a fellowship in orthopedic manual therapy at Boston University.
 
David began his career in private practice where he marketed and managed the opening of a denovo clinic. He has also served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students. David is active in his alumni community and served as Chair of the Young Alumni Advisory Board in 2021–2022. David and his wife Vanessa enjoy travel, fine dining, rooting for New England teams, and spending time with their rescue cat and dog.

Dr. Lordan interviews Dr. Pete Barone, a residency trained orthopedic and manual physical therapist who currently works as an Outpatient PT in Woburn, Massachusetts. Dr. Pete explains how he got to where he is today, and some advice that he wish he had given his younger self when he was a new grad physical therapist. Listen in for some great career advice and clinical pearls.

Dr. Barone has been practicing physical therapy since 2012, after graduating from University of Hartford with a Bachelors in Health Science and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. During his time at the University of Hartford, he played Lacrosse at the division one level. Pete is focused on assisting patients return to the activities that they love and enjoy. He started his career in Connecticut, working for Hartford Hospital Outpatient Division and worked there for 2 years before moving to Massachusetts to be closer to family. During his career, Pete has worked with several local high school sports working on strength and conditioning programs to help them achieve their goals. Dr. Barone is Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), has complete level one of the Institute of Manual Therapy, and has received his Fellowship of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (FAAOMPT) from Boston University. Dr. Barone is certified in Dry Needling, Graston Technique and Kinesiotaping. Throughout his career, Dr. Barone has worked with a wide variety of patients, from children to geriatric population. He specializes in orthopedic injuries, joint replacements, and complex surgical rehabilitation. He has worked with athletes from high school to professional levels.
